From there you go up to Monte Pora and Monte Alto, passing by three mountain shelters and visiting an alpine hut where you can enjoy the atmosphere and the typical flavours of the mountain pasture.

Castione in Brentonico

Walk among the majestic trees of this alpine village and discover the main fruits of Monte Baldo: chestnuts.

You are on the Brentonico upland, between Adige river and Lake Garda in the heart of Monte Baldo Natural Park, known by all the European botanists as the “Italian Garden” thanks to its rich variety of plants and flowers.

Here is the small village of Castione, characterized by the huge amount of trees that produce a special fruit that has made this small town so renowned: chestnuts! These ancient and majestic trees raise all around the small village, their leafy branches become gold during autumn…a breathtaking sight.

Castione della Presolana is a small town nestled in the tranquillity of the province of Bergamo, at the foot of the Pizzo della Presolana mountain massif. Of particular interest, within the village, are the Church of San Rocco and the Church of Sant'Alessandro, which house, respectively, ancient nuovo fragments and a marble altar rich in sculptures. 

Castione della Presolana is renowned for its location, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the nearby Val Seriana. Located between Pizzo della Presolana and Montagna Pora, it allows for excursions suitable for all levels, offering breathtaking views and trails immersed in greenery. 

Not to be missed is the; The Betrothed's Leap, a vantage point from which the entire valley can be admired. The Salto is so called because of a tragic event at the end of the 19th century. Two young lovers - a Polish musician and his wife - used to spend their days right next to the cliff, until one day they threw themselves into the abyss, dying instantly. The reasons for this act remain a mystery to this day.
